Transfer Sheets, Craft Super Show—and Toni Morrison!
Okay, this blog combination is going to be a little strange…but there’s a lot going on and I didn’t want to miss anything!
First, The Amazing Toni Morrison spoke in Amsterdam this week. I am a HUGE Toni Morrison fan and had just finished her new novel, “A Mercy”, a few weeks before I learned she was coming and you can believe I booked that ticket as fast as I could. I was also, almost, the first person at the door. What was so inspiring—to have the opportunity to listen to a literary icon and Nobel Prize winner speak for two hours about writing, history, racism, America, vulnerability and women’s lives in the 1600’s. Brilliantly.
So, on to crafty stuff…I know there have been concerns about the Dazzles™ Transfer Sheet and I’m so sorry! (I also had a small problem—well, a big problem—with mine the other week, but assumed it was something I had done wrong.)

Here’s the situation, and how we’re fixing it: It seems there’s variation in the stickiness of the Transfer Sheets, and some are too sticky to transfer properly without tearing your paper. We’re getting it fixed with the manufacturer so the next batch will work correctly. Until then, you can still use the Transfer Sheet if you remove the excess stickiness first. Here’s how: Cut the piece of Transfer Sheet you need to use, then press it onto a towel or piece of felt (or the sleeve of your sweater), lift it off and repeat three times and use as normal.
I’m so sorry for any trouble you might have had with the Transfer Sheet, and if you have any questions about it, please email me at snaumann@hotp.com and I’ll be happy to help.

One more crafty bit: If you live near Orlando, Florida, be sure to mark July 31-August 1 in your calendar. The CHA Craft SuperShow is a public crafting event being held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. Most craft shows focus on one or two craft segments—but the Craft SuperShow will have education and shopping for all kinds of crafts, from scrapbooking and cardmaking to knitting and art materials. There’s shopping, make-and-takes, workshops, events and tons of great things in store! Tickets are available online—it’s $14 for a 2-day pass, or $10 for a 1-day pass. Kids under 10 are admitted free. Even better, Paper Wishes friends and family (that’s you guys!) can save up to $5.00 if you buy your tickets online. Just visit www.craftsupershow.com and use this discount code: SUPER24. Note: The discount is only available online, not at the door of the show. And when you go, be sure to swing by the Paper Wishes booth and say hi to Paulette!
