There’s a thread on the Message Board asking “What one thing really irks you when you’re trying to make a card or a scrapbook page?” Well, this little incident didn’t happen while I was making anything—but I wonder if it still counts.

On Monday the UPS man brought me a huge box of Paper Wishes supplies for my Stamp Camp projects. So after I heaved it up three flights of stairs, and arrived, gasping, in my apartment, I opened it up and thought, hmmm, that’s odd. It’s awfully dusty.

No, it wasn’t dusty…it was Fun Flock-y.

After I pulled out the alcohol inks, transparencies, rhinestones, markers, ribbons, flowers and books of paper, there were just two empty bottles of Fun Flock rolling around at the bottom of the box. Yes, empty bottles.

Have you ever tried to remove Fun Flock from a book of paper? (No, you can’t just fan the pages—trust me.)

By the time I got sorted through the whole box (did I mention it was huge?) I was coated in a strange (but lovely) combination of Blue Suede and Pixie Pink flocking powder. So were all my Stamp Camp supplies, my kitchen table, floor and also my handbag, which was sitting nearby…open, naturally.

Of course, I had just cleaned the whole place the day before. And of course, I had packed the box myself a few weeks ago when I was in the States—so I had no one but me to blame for the Flocking Catastrophe.

Okay, on a happier note, however…see this stamp set? Are you absolutely swooning over it, as I am? (Now that it’s dusted, that is.)
