More Envelopes!
Did you catch this week’s Webisode on the Enveloper? I’ve gotten tons of emails about this cool tool—from people who have it and love it, and from people who love the idea and have questions on how to use it. Our special guest, Sarah from Crafter’s Companion, gives a super demonstration—filmed on location at the trade show in January…which explains the boring gray background. (Sarah and Paulette were in a little conference room in the convention center while I was in a meeting down the hall!)
Other Webisode news? This May, we’ll have our second Week of Webisodes, hurray! Starting Monday, May 11 and going through Friday May 15, there will be a new Webisode every day—plus tons of other cool things. Behind the scenes, we’ve been filming, creating Bonus Projects, developing the Free Downloads (one will be exclusively designed just for this week) and coming up with tips, ideas, Super Savers and Deal of the Day special offers for you. And I’ve been working on more card projects, since one of the Webisodes will be on the Bargello technique with Dazzles™. I’ve been cutting like mad!
Another cool new thing will be on our Paper Wishes home page next month. Technically, It’s called a “widget” and many of us have them on our computers already…like a calculator, weather forecast, Dutch-to-English translator (that’s me) and measurement converter. Anyway, widgets can also be countdown clocks—and starting on April 11th, we’ll have a 30-day countdown to Week of Webisodes. Even better, every day will feature a short tip on everything from storing inkpads to cutting perfect windows, so you can learn a little something while we count down to the first day of Spring Week of Webisodes!
PS. Here’s another new thing that’s inspired me lately: Artist Brian Andreas has an exhibit of prints and sculptures on right now in Amsterdam. I love how he combines a visual (drawn, stamped, etc) with little stories. The stories are like fragments and they’re funny, touching and thought-provoking and will make you smile. Here’s one I love: “There are things you do because they feel right & they make no sense & they may make no money & it may be the real reason we are here: to love each other & to eat each other's cooking & say it was good.” Check him out at www.storypeople.com, he has cards, prints and more.

Really appreciated this Webisode. I have the Enveloper, but have not yet used it. I was a little intimidated by the instructions, but now you have cleared things up for me and I can't wait to get started making all sorts of different envelopes. How neat that we can match our envelopes to our cards, and especially now we can create envelopes the right size for the different size floral cards that we make. This was such an informative and fun episode, thanks for bringing it to us. Looking forward to the next one.
