The Show Must Go On….
…isn’t that how the saying goes? This week I arrived in Portland and promptly came down with the flu and a cold. Our Webisode filming schedule was pretty tight—11 segments to film, plus a DVD for the Personal Shopper kit, so I loaded up on the meds, layered on a liberal application of makeup and we started the cameras. On Sunday we taped the entire DVD plus 5 webisodes, all with me desperately reaching for the Kleenex every time the camera panned down for a project shot. Needless to say, my voice sounds terrible, all squeaky and hoarse at the same time. Lovely! Monday we taped three more segments and then another three on Tuesday. Of course, the segments air weekly so it will sound like I’ve had a cold for months.
But, the exciting thing is that we’ll have brand-new Webisodes on Dazzles™ (since you guys REALLY loved the first Dazzles™ segment we did), plus more stamping ideas, how to use these very cool foil and glitter sheets and the new 2 Envelopes Template. So it’s been worth it!
Several of you have emailed asking about how we film the Webisodes—so I asked John to shoot a picture as Paulette and I were prepping a stamping segment. (Look closely and you’ll spot my box of tissue…you just can’t see the empty cans of ginger ale in the recycling bin next to me!) We film in our photography studio, which is at the back of the warehouse where all the Paper Wishes orders are pulled and packed. (This is why we tape on the weekend, when the packers aren’t in and it’s quiet.) That bookshelf behind us? It’s in Paulette’s office—this is a photo of it, enlarged and printed onto a massive backdrop. And of course, all around us are glue sticks, scissors, acrylic blocks and miscellaneous tools and products. Pretty glamorous, right?
This Saturday we leave for CHA in Anaheim, California…wish us luck at the show and keep your fingers crossed that we’ll get some sunny weather while we’re there!

WOW!!! I wish that I had a desk that large to craft on, I would be all set. I really like the Weekly Webisodes and am very happy to learn that you will be having more of them on the Dazzles and on Stamping, both of which I love. The Dazzles are the greatest...you can use them for so many applications. I have used them on more than just paper. Would you, if you can, and if there are any more Dazzles out there, please, please bring them into your inventory. I think these are wonderful and I have used up a bunch of them already. I wanted to order some more, but you are out of them, so I will sadly have to wait. I very much enjoy reading your Blog, so please keep it up. Your space really does look a whole lot different than it does in the Webisodes. I thought that you where in a tiny little room, with a very small desk. I guess I was wrong.
Take care of that cold and flu of yours. Just pick up a Dazzle, it'll make you feel better, LOL.
A very loyal customer.
