Gift Albums

Presents? Check. Gift tags? Check. Last-minute frenzy? Check again. Is your pre-holiday rush anything like mine? This week I’ve been finishing up gifts: A photo calendar, a “scrapbook in a tin” and lots of handmade jewelry. And last weekend I made (in a day, no less!) an ABC quote book for my mom. I’ve got a few pages shown here—it was super simple to do, I just computer journaled a quote for each letter of the alphabet (A is for Art, etc), then scrapbooked the quotes in an 8"x8" album. All these gorgeous papers were from Vintage 8"x8" Papers and I put them in the matching 8"x8" Vintage Album. I embellished the pages with brads and flowers from our Embellish-abilities™ kits plus some of my own vintage ribbon and buttons. I couldn’t believe I actually completed the whole book in one day! (This would also be a great gift for birthdays or Mother’s Day.)

Hope your holidays are filled with family, friends, old traditions and new memories! Enjoy!

Sara, I love this idea! What a great way to pass along some of my favorite quotes. Thanks for showing photos.

Jacklyn:

Great idea Sara! I love your ingenius ideas!! I'm barely getting onto the cardmaking/scrapbooking bandwagon and seeing the cards and scrapbook pages you and your peers make is very inspiring to an amateur like me!

Pat:

Sara, I loved the alphabet quotes you used in your mom's book. Where did you find them?

sara naumann:

Pat, I'm glad you liked the quotes! I'm a quote collector and I find many of my favorites at quotegarden.com. You can also Google "literary quotes" and get links to lots of great sites. Hope that helps! -sara
